Kids are meeting the wife and I there this weekend for a Mother’s Day weekend family deal (she hasn’t had the kids all together since this Chinese virus stuff started, so we’re pretty pumped) Only been on Twok once several years ago for bass tournament so I was wondering if there were any spots we might try for crappie/hybrids or whites? I just want daughter and my boys to catch some fish

I was at Tawakoni last week and it has hard to get a bite due the shad spawning. It's hard to get bit when the fish have so much food to choose from.

look for birds from the mouth of gum to the dam. should be hybrid and whites. looks like they have been doing really well with occasional stripers. the crappie... good luck. they have eluded me out there this year. I have heard they are on the bridges, but so is 50% of all crappie anglers In the area. I hate crowds, so I try to find brush. without time on the water, I would get the kids on the striped fish.slabs, spoons, sassy shads, topwaters

I chased white bass there on friday. I only found 1 school of white bass on sonar but the shad was everywhere. I trolled a couple chrome.rattletraps while I watched sonar. I found active fish on the windy side of the mid lake humps in 12-15ft of water. While trolling I also picked up about a dozen really nice big twok sandies and several almost legal stripers. They seemed scattered that day.

Was out at Tawakoni yesterday got a limit of crappie under the bridge but they were suspended 8-12 feet down and the whites and hybrids are thick under the 2 Mile Bridge too.Several schools of white bass started blowing up on Shad under the bridge. The family should have a blast.

I have quite a few brushpiles out there, and I see a lot of schools of shad come through repeatedly with my livescope.. Tawakoni sure has a healthy population of baitfish!
