Is anyone fishing for Whites, Hybrids and Stripers along the dam or behind it in the Spillway? I have never fished on Lake Tawakoni and only Bank Fish. Can someone please help an old man out and give updates on where to fish? Also interested in Catfish at the Dam or Spillway. Thank you all for your help and direction.

You can't bank fish off the dam on Tawakoni. Restricted SRA property.

Also the lake is almost (or has already) stopped spilling - so the fishing below the spillway tends to slow down a lot.

Last two times I drove by the spillway there was at least 50 cars, last month. I don’t ever stop because I don’t care to fish on top of so many people fishing one spot. It’s obviously good because of so many people though. The dam public ramp is not bad for catfish and last time I was launching a guy had a 6lb hybrid he said he caught on a dead shrimp, go figure.
