Jenkins, Moye, and Cruezot will be in office as long as they want, they are in Dallas County and are Ds. The only change that will come is if they seek higher office.

Abbott just amended his order and made it retroactive to April 2. It does away with violating the order as a jailable offense and mention that now Dallas has to free the Dallas salon owner as well as the two women in Laredo. Problem solved. It is now NOT a jailable offense.

Wow! Orders get amended for certain people. So it was OK to lock up the 2 women in Laredo, but not the woman in Dallas.

Ask him but let's not pretend the Dallas case was about safety or violating the order. Moye wanted her to apologize to him. That has ZERO to do with safety and is an abuse of power. I do not think they would have jailed her is she was a minority to begin with. They would not have went there. I personally don't care what someone's color is and if ANYONE male/female, pretty/ugly, any race, any religion etc been treated this way by Moye and Jenkins I would feel the exact same way I do about it being wrong.

Gonna be even funnier when she sues and wins her case against Dallas and they have to pay up. Abbott specifically mentioned the 2 Laredo women in the rewrite as well and calls for their release so it sounds like he amended the order for ALL.

Good. Iā€™m going to see if I can get a haircut there. Iā€™m usually more of a barbershop guy, but what the hell.

I wonder if this includes contempt of court? She had two penalties that would run concurrently.

This could be a direct effort by the governor to try a case in the governors office.

Quote
It is further ORDERED that Defendant Shelley Luther, having been found in
Civil Contempt of this Court is hereby be remanded to tlhe custody of the Sheriff of
Dallas County for her continued failure to comply with the Order of this
Court. Defendant Luther shall be confined in penal facility of the choosing of the
Sheriff, where she shah remain for period of seven days.
