People crying about freedom while still having Facebook accounts are hard for me to understand. Our freedom of privacy was vastly affected by the Patriot Act in the name of safety. I remember people defending it then saying “if you aren’t doing anything wrong, you should have nothing to hide.”

Then Obama comes in and literally plugs the government directly into the servers of Facebook, Twitter, who knows what else. No one cared or noticed, too busy worrying about birth certificates and tan suits.

If the government, more specifically, elected leaders, have access to all that data, of course they are going to use that data to target the electorate. They will do so through their news/propaganda wings. Both sides have them.
