what is the best presentation to use when fishing with crab for bait on reds and big uglies....... in florida we often took shell off. in texas i see alot of folks chunking it out whole or in half shell on....your thoughts

Leaving parts of the shell on makes the bait last longer. If the crabs are small, then I use the whole crab. I will break a big crab in pieces and snap off the pointy parts of the shell. As a side note, in Texas, I have better results with shrimp or cut bait.
