She wandered over to our pond with the intent to catch some bluegill. Wasn’t catching anything with her crappie jig and niblet and was grumping and irritable. I knew the hook was too big, so I rigged up another pole with a little hook, and put a fake worm on it. Gave the rod to her and she was catching em like crazy, and smiling and laughing. It’s all about the hook today.

Reckon I’ll get steak tonight. Ooooo, I’m so smart....

Neat post. It is always a good thing to keep the wife happy. You are lucky that she likes to fish. thumb

Oh, it even gets better. She wanted me to get a spot lock trolling motor and livescope. Tired of me wandering all over the lake. I thought she was kidding. Wives don’t say stuff like that...not sober anyway. I should have the stuff on Thursday.

She really does like to fish, like her Mom and Dad. But, she likes to CATCH fish, which is what makes her happy. Bass fishing is too slow for her, so I have had to transition to being a Crappie and bream fisherman. It’s Ok, but I have a lot of bass fishing gear that isn’t getting used.

Great job. I’ve got mine into shooting, but have yet to get her fishing.

Got the spot lock and the livescope, and the wife is real happy. This morning “when are we going fishing again” was her question. Tuesday is the plan.
