Snuck out this morning to see if I could catch a few bedders...lost the momma at the boat but I did catch the buck after missing him a couple times....
Then...tragedy struck...underwater tree took my transducer smooth off. It’s a Lowrance so of course it’s made of plastic and I’m willing to bet it won’t have a warranty and I’m going to have to pay for a new transducer. If anyone has been down this road with Lowrance, fill me in on what I can expect.
Thanks guys and gals....

Not sure about dealing with Lowrance, but I currently run the spring back bracket which has been a lifesaver for my ducer when hitting stumps, haven't broken one yet.
Transducer Shield and Saver is my recommendation as well. When I first started reading I thought you had lost your lower unit, now that would be tragic. Nice fish BTW...

No, you hitting a stump is not covered under warranty by any electronics companies. Go to Bass Pro and buy another one. Use the old transducer wire to pull the new one through. Price you pay for having a clean picture running the transducer externally.
I hate photobucket.

It’s not that it is plastic transducer. It is that you trashed your transducer.
It’s 100% because it’s plastic....and implying that I was irresponsible and careless with my equipment because a branch clipped the bottom corner of my boat while I was idling shows how “trash” your perspective is.
