took daughters out this weekend to catch some bream, we found them from 1 foot deep out to 7 foot deep. i filleted (yes big enough to fillet) one and half 5 gallon buckets of bream. 1 1/2 gallon bags of bream fillets. i found 1 bed on side image that was 50 foot X100 foot long. but to rough for them to try and fish it.

That's awesome, I've fished the Stubblefield area a couple times but only caught small bluegill. I fish from a kayak but it's always so windy, as you alluded to. Where did you launch from?

my mom and step dad have a lake house on the cove south of stow a way. so i use there private ramp, then run all over the lake from there. i did fish the bridge right past cagle last weekend and caught a few large bream and 15-20 crappie, and also found a school of 10-15" long blue cat with livescope. all was in 20-25 of water suspended 10-15 foot deep.

Great information, thanks. I fish with a fly rod so I'm always looking for a sheltered cove with bream in less than 5 feet of water I've read a great deal about the size of the bluegill in Conroe. I also saw some pictures of some areas above 1375 bridge when the water was low. The entire area was pot marked with bream beds. One calm day I'll give that area a try. Great memories for you and the daughters, well done.

Nice post. Love reading other parts of the state's fishing reports.
