Went to posados in Longview this evening. Hardly anyone there. Food was perfect and their mugs are the coldest in town.

I was surprised to see a bunch of restaurants in the Houston area were still closed. Yesterday we did take out for the first time since this all started.

I'd be curious to hear from those that own restaurants whether they can be profitable at partial capacity. Has the wage system changed for wait staff? Seems like it would be hard for them to make much tip money with partial capacity.

It is hard enough to make it at full occupancy, this 25 % occupancy is not good at all, many dine in places probably would just prefer to wait until at least 50 % occupancy. If I made a living off of my restaurants I would be in deep doo doo right now.

Went to my wife's favorite locally ran Mexican restaurant Saturday evening. It was nice. The food was hot and the beer was cold.

Just got back from lunch and had Mexican food. Super yummie and not crowded. They had a bunch of tables out of service so no one was sitting close to any others. The staff was wearing masks and gloves. No condiments or anything else on the table. And I had a friend pick up the tab. #Winning!

Wanted to hit some Mexican food here by the house tonight...Chuy's, Uncle Julio's and Los Molcajetes are still doing take out/curbside only. Guess I will wait till Lupe Tortilla's opens soon.

I'm surprised at the number of restaurant that aren't having dine in yet. Though Buffalo Wild Wings would be open pulled big sign on window with a number to call
for take out only.

The economics of 25 percent capacity isnt good, If I wasnt having to spend PPP money anyway I would wait till 50 percent .

A little worse than I would have expected. I had a fairly reasonable sales number in my mind, probably 75 percent of that. On some level I think we are being allowed to reopen for no more reason than the state and local government figured out what the sales tax revenues were gonna be in april lol. Come may 20th when they get paid for april they will open it quickly after that.
