Anyone have any advice on bass fishing the river or lake? I'm headed out tomorrow to try my luck. Any advice is good advice. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Kimball Bend Park is CLOSED. Furthest up the river is Hamms Creek is also CLOSED. Chisholm Trail Park has a nominal fee ramp/park and is actually a little further up river than Kimball. It is OPEN.

Lone catch of the day, but had a good time on the river.

Sorry it wasn’t better for you but a crappy day of fishing on the Brazos is way better than most days of anything else! Where did you put in?

I went in at the Public boat access there in Lakeside just outside Kopperl on 56. I'm sure the fishing is good, I'm still learning how to maneuver the kayak and fish at the same time. Overall it was a good day on the water.

That’s where I put in the other day but with a 250 Mercury it’s not far “up into the river”. As soon as Hamms Creek opens(reportedly soon) I would launch that yak up there and you will be way up the river to start.
