Made an afternoon trip to Lady Bird Lake with my pal Jeff! Wind was blowing but we managed some nice Bluegill and Redear. Launched on the west side of I-35 and fished near the banks. Fish were caught in 4 to 6 feet of water. Gulp Alive Minnows Chartreuse/Black and just plane Chartreuse got the best results. Used a plane drop shot with the minnows. Also caught a few fish using White Rooster Tails with a slow retrieve. Did not see many anglers but did see a lot of paddle boats and walkers enjoying the outdoors. The bite was good and we caught about 40 fish all in the 8 and 9 inch range. Fish were healthy and fat! Getting some much needed fishing time. Can't wait to do it all over again.

Curtis...Thanks for the report. 40 8-9 inchers is a good day ! I can't find a Chartreuse/Black or all Chartreuse listed on Berkley's website ? They show Emerald Shiner, Smelt, Luma Glow, Firetiger, Chartreuse shad & Watermelon Pearl as the colors. Are the ones you used special order ? I would love to find some Chartreuse Black. Do you have any trips to Fayette planned in the near future ?

I had seen them last year at the Academy on Loop 1604 just down from Lock Hill Selma Road. They had a great supply of Gulp Alive Products including the Chartreuse/Black. Wished I would have bought some jars.

Nice post Curtis. I need to plan a trip there soon! Side Note: Steve: I have seen the Chartreuse Minnows at the Academy in Selma. This was several months ago. They had them in the one inch length. I have also seen a lot of the Gulp Alive products at Bass Pro in San Antonio. Did not pay any attention to colors. I have seen the Chartreuse colored minnows and I have also seen Chartreuse Minnows with Black spots on them. Anyway it seems that you have those Fayette Bluegill named and could probably catch them on a bare hook.

There are also Chartreuse colored minnows that have black spots on them. That is what I call Chartreuse/Black. Also to me shad, sliders, and minnows are all the same! I argue with my buddies (In Fun) all of the time about my meanings.
