And when I say free I mean you're no longer employed or are temporarily laid off/working from home.
Are you spending any extra time working out?
I've doubled the time I spend working out and wondered if anyone else had.

Not doubled but yes more than before I was laid off. Adding things in for variety that I used to do that were cut due to time also.

I am no longer traveling 50%, which makes it much easy in increase my routine. I've been working out virtually every day of the quarantine, unfortunately I've doubled down on eating junk. Going to try and get my act together this week. Planning to do two-a-days every day and eat right until I shave off about 25lbs. Currently at 208 and need to be down around 185.

Biggest change I have made is increasing hydration. That alone has helped decrease cravings and I feel better. I knew this before but usually don't slow down enough during the day to drink water.

If interested an easy calc to figure specific hydration is Body Weight X 2/3 oz. (or .66) = Intake ozs./day EX. 225X.66= 148.5 ozs. 128 ozs = gallon

Tough to go from 0 to a gallon/day plus the increased trips to the toilet are a pain but your body will adapt and you will begin to notice a difference very quickly. I drink water with every meal with a lemon, lime, or orange wedge and after my coffee it's water or tea the rest of the day. Started the water with meals years ago because I don't like paying $3.50 for a beverage especially when you don't get refills. smile

I was seeing a dietitian in 2018 that constantly reminded me that when working out make sure and eat a serving of protein within 30 minutes (before or after) of working out or your workout will cause you to burn muscle instead of fat.
Since I normally workout in the morning I eat 2 or 3 eggs after my workout.

I wish more people would see dietitians (RD's) as true medical professionals or as part of the 'team'. I had pleasure of working with some of the best in the business on an elite level. The 30-45 minute window you speak of is crucial for recovery also. It can be simple like chocolate milk and peanut butter crackers too which are convenient and portable.

I'm sore right now from working muscles that aren't used to it.
The muscles above the knees are sore but that's it.
After almost a year of not jogging or running to allow my last knee replacement to completely heal I'm doing 100 meter sprints along with my usual speed walking and stair climbing.
It feels so good to run again.

I used to workout 5 times a week. Once gyms closed I tried to workout at home. We have a decent gym at home since wife works out at home. I only did use it for about a week. Now I’ve just given up on trying until the gym opens again. But, everyone else keep up the great work even after quarantine.
