New to Texas looking for a fishing buddy in the Lumberton area. Right now I have the bare minimum gear, but Im looking forward to expanding and getting into kayak fishing. Haven't fished in forever, but got a rod and reel recently for my BD and anxious to try it out. Thanks

Man I had to look that one up..never heard of Lumberton before. Unfortunately you are way out of my area. If you ever get to south or central TX give me a shout. ....and welcome to Texas!

Welcome! Man you being in Lumberton you are not too far from Dam B and then Sam Rayburn. The old 96 road bed on Rayburn offers some good Kayak fishing and is protected by most of the prevailing winds. Look at google maps too the Neches river and Sabine rivers have places closer you can go. Don’t let rivers fool you either. Most have a pretty good bass population once you figure out how to catch them. Good luck.
