in 03 they went to composite/no wood, prior to that it was a layered fiberglass/fir transom.

on my second one, 95 202, first was an 82 184.

Kiln dried Douglas Fir/glass/gel laminate until around 98. Around 98 they switched to Baltic/glass/gel laminate. When they moved em from Mt. Home to Tenn they began composite. The Baltic core is the least desired as it's more difficult to dry out if water intrusion happens. If it's not caught in time it turns into saw dust.


I love the smell of two stroke in the morning.
