Got to the ramp before daylight and there were already 5 boats there. Got launched and tied up at the dock. As I was coming back from parking some prick in a center console ran through the no wake zone WFO. I'm an old man now and really didn't need a confrontation early Sunday morning. I guess he was in a big hurry to get to where ever he was going with his fresh caught shad. Despite that, fishing was excellent. Started fishing about 7:00 am and had my limit by 10:30am. Continued fishing till about 1:00pm when the boat traffic made it to choppy for my liking. Water temp was right at 67. Fish are starting to stack up on the brush now. Found some really nice ones on piles that only had dinks last week. Again any dark body with chartreuse tail worked. Caught fish in 5'-16' of water. They were very aggressive. I gave away the last fish, and haven't cleaned these yet, so I don't know the # of fish that are spawned out.

Rod I saw you over there. My dad came to town with his old bass tracker so I took him out to catch some crappie. Fished 9ish to about 2 and in between his usual boat problems I sent him home with a limit. We only fished timber anywhere from 6-23 FOW. Several colors worked but black and chartreuse probably landed the most.
