How bad does EM get in the wind? I'm taking a couple family members and want to find some sandies witho getting beat up. Should I launch at Twin points and stay up in that cove?

South wind you can find some protected areas. North or north west wind is bad .Eagle can get really rough for a little lake. Any mention of over 20 I cancell guide trips. I have 21 ft falcon.

We launched at Twin Points. Fished up to the island and back. The last 30 minutes was 23 mph with 35 gust. We had one hell of a boat ride back.
But on the bright side we caught a limit at least. Kept 9 magnums for dinner.

You did better than me. Launched at Shady Grove due to the wind. Trolled through the 3 footers across the flats all the way out to the main hump, caught one. Fished the usual humps, slopes and ridges......caught nothing. Think I will go try again, might wait until later and see if I can find some schooling action.

Thursday most beautiful, no wind. But no fish either. Water stained, tried but zip. Fished all over, didn't see anyone else hitting.

Out there now. Caught 6 magnums so far. Marking very few fish. Wanted to stay until dusk, but I’m getting baked even with the 50 SPF and shirt!
