We had a heck of a hail storm come through on Friday night with golf ball to softball sized hail here in Northwest Louisiana. My house and vehicles took significant damage but I can't seem to find anything wrong on the boat. It had the cover on but im sure it still took multiple strikes. Is there something I should be looking for? The adjuster is coming on Monday and I don't want to find out about damage I didn't claim down the road.

I have seen 3 boats with actual hail damage in the last 20 years... Fiberglass is tough

We got some here about 5 hours ago. Wife’s Lexus, parked next to the boat got a few dings, my Tundra and boat came out fine. [Linked Image]

Obviously, I was getting ready to load up and go fishing. Changed my mind about 5 minutes AFTER the boat cover came off.

Well that’s good reassurance. This is one of the hits my truck took. [Linked Image]

Your windshields, graphs, and motor cowling would have prob taken the worst of the beating. I'd inspect those really well. I think the fiberglass unless it was hit just right would be Ok. I live near you and YES that was one doozy of a storm Friday night! And then to hear about the warnings coming for the one tonight as well...

I’ve talked to quite a few others in Benton whose boats had zero damage but totaled out the trucks and 20-50k damage to houses

Hail won't do anything to fiberglass usually unless it was painted and it was being driven 60mph in the hail then it would chip the paint but not damage the fiberglass. Found that out when I used to drive corvettes.

I was parked at Rayburn pavilion when that monster hail storm came through last may. Softball size hail. Ruined every vehicle in sight. Thru the windshields everything but the boat came out fine. Broke some rods though

Late March had golf ball to baseball size hail here in central MO. New F150 took about $8k damage. ARE fiberglass topper not a thing.

Wow....broke rods but boat hull was OK. I had no idea fiberglass was so strong!

Fiberglass isn't going to dent it will do nothing at all or it will crack. We got golf ball sized hail last night and I looked at my suburban today, not one ding. It is old and paint is fading off and has been thru several hail storms and they never do a thing to it. I guess the secret is having a vehicle that you don't care if it gets dinged and the hail will leave you alone.

Baseball or softball will, had a friend had a good cover on one and it beat cover off and they totaled the boat and it was softball size. Spider webs all over.
