Anyone been on it lately? I'm finally able to get out and it's the closest lake to the house....Im not looking for specifics...just how has the bite been?

We didn't do any good yesterday but we were crappie fishing. Caught 3 crappie, 2 sandies, and three channel cat all on crappie jigs

However, just beware: We put in a Lavonia and there were probably 100 boat trailers parked there. Parking lot was full and trailers parked on both side of the road going in for 1/4 mile. Ski boats, fishing boats, jet skis, kayaks, people, etc. everywhere.

We didn't get there until 10:00 and came out at 3:00 because we new it would be a zoo at the end of the day. Took us about 30-45 minutes to get back on the trailer.

Saturday we caught 80+ sandies. Sunday we caught less than 10. Good luck finding a parking spot. Also, watch out for kids driving wake boats...

Was there last Sunday. Lake looks great. Bass should have been stacked up. Unfortunately they were not. Fishing was much tougher than we expected. We launched at Collin Park. Get there early and it's no issue. We left about 2:00 and it looked like a holiday weekend. Boat trailers were almost a mile down the road. Crazy

Just cover a lot of water and throw what you’re most confident in and you’ll find them. Most bass are done spawning. They’re on the move chasing the bait, so the pattern changes day to day. If you start catching white bass the largemouth are usually close by, and often mixed in with them. Now that the dam is pretty much shut the bite should be really good the next few weeks
