Not on the north end of Rayburn...maybe the south end. All of my fish the last 3 weeks have been post spawn on Rayburn north of 147.

Depends how deep you're fishing too. Caught some within the last week in. 15-20ft blowed out prespawn 3-4lbers mixed in with post spawn above the bridge. Ive seen fish in the canyons in mid April spawning on nearly every stump before

We caught a bunch more pre spawn yesterday, in the same spot that 3 days ago had some post spawners on it. Turbulent water and big temp swings here in north Texas Seems to have resulted in several small waves since March, think we still have a few more of those waves to go.

Started at Lake Bonham on Fri morning. That place is a mudpit! It took us 1.5hours to get off of it and find another lake. We ended up fishing Pat Mayse. Nice fishery. First time being on either lake. Lots of bedders still going on at PM. We ended up with around 20. Biggest went 4.5lbs. I'll be back to that lake. Yesterday, we fished Texoma. That water is really stained now for some reason. Seen a giant bass in Cedar Mills, prolly 10, but wanted nothing to do with our bait. We only seen her once. We did catch the male off the bed. Ended up scratching out around a dozen, nothing big. Mainly kentuckys on rocky points and stretches in Cedar Mills. Big Tex was churnin', too, outta the north. There's still bedders on all of NTX lakes. My guess is spawn should last at least a couple of more weeks.

the spawn lasts for months on most bodies of water, sometimes even in the fall.

Still seeing fish on beds as of Sunday at Fork. Also, catching some pre-spawn females.

Maybe another way of asking would be what are the vast majority of fish doing on any given lake. Pretty much January thru July on some lakes in Texas they are in all phases. For most lakes the simple answer is June-July. Sometimes catching a couple of bed fish is great until you see the huge catches somebody else has going ahead with post-spawn tactics, etc.

Bumping this because I still naturally think the fish should be done spawning, and I'm wrong. It's obviously lake dependant, like many have said. On 05/18, I was fishing a dammed up creek pond in Plano, and the male and female Bass were on beds. They were pretty skittish, and would swim off when my bait or little Bass swam up. The water was cool, cooler than is was a week ago I think. I'm about to turn 43 and I'm just now starting to make observations rather than assumptions hammer

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

I've been fishing post-spawn spots of Lake Grapevine and largely coming up empty. I plan to hit deeper in the Coves next few trips.

This^

You can still find fish on south end of Toledo now but it's not a pattern...
