Nice rig. Thanks, the only downside I have found is that my backup 2 pc paddle wont fit in either hatch, yet . it does fit down the left side of the seat and is out of the way.

I really like the open floor space of the Mayfly even if I don't often fly fish. Nice ride!
Just one more cast!

Jackson makes a really good kayak and the mayfly is a fine choice. Congrats on getting one you are going to love it. Wish you lots of good times on the water.

One of the scupper holes should have a large area for you transducer. I have sidescan on my fnder so wanted to get below the bottom of my yak a couple of inches. Using the Yak Attack Switchblade transducer arm which slides into my gear track.

Thanksk Ocelot, looks like I will be getting a new depth finder. I dug out my old Matrix 37 quad beam but the LED screen looks shot and when I hooked it up to 12v it just keeps sleeping "LOL" Gosh I just bought it in 2007.

That was an old finder. Much better technology int units today. I mount my head unit right in front of seat. Do not have to look to far to see or adjust unit. When fly fishing, fly line likes to wrap around the mount so I try to keep the line outside the kayak. Jacksons have a lot of track on them sure you will find a place where get a good balance of vision, accessibility and not catching the fly line most of the time.

Thanks, I am looking hard at the Humminbird Helix 5 DI G2, I think I will like the Basemap feature as it had the contour lines for a lot of the lakes in TX
