Harbor Freight has a great one. I've had my HF ultrasonic cleaner for about 10 years now. Heater quit years ago so I just use hot water. Between cleaning gun parts and reels I've gotten more then my moneys worth out of it.

Depends on how many reels you intend on doing

From personal experience, I'd use caution when cleaning with an ultrasonic cleaner. I have one that I can fit one reel and all associated parts in. I use dawn soap and get the water warm but not too hot. I had not had any issues till I put the reel body (frame) of my Diawa TD Zillion in the USC. Can't remember how long I set the timer for, but when I got it out, dried off and started the re-assembly process, I noticed several areas where the paint on the frame had bubbled up. Fortunately all the spots were on the bottom of the reel and you have to look real hard to see them but I freaked out when I saw it. Being a perfectionist, I went ahead and ordered a new body from Diawa (while they were still available) and have just put away for another day if I choose to replace it. I'll still use the cleaner but will pay more attention when using it for sure.
