You're going in fresh - do you start at the first page or last?

I go with the last then work my way backward...because I know y'all care how I do.

Seriously though, just wondering.

Yeah, it's kinda funny. Saw one last week where at the end someone stated 'hey, I don't want to read all 40 pages, would someone sum it all up, and someone did!

Need more of that. Going to the end I notice it's a lot of name calling by then (at least these political ones, which are so important and I'm glad that they are not 'sent' to the bunker
like they would've been). Boy, when you do decide to read them all, and I'm a slow reader, can take awhile. ;/0

Depends on the topic. And I have my settings for 10 posts per page instead of the default 20. But I only open a thread that might interest me anyway, which means I probably don't open the majority.

Dan0U812 used to do a weekly recap.

A recap would have been nice, but I think he's very busy doing a product review thread now.

40 page thread; I'll read the 1st page, 20th page, and 40th page.

If no significant variation on those pages, that's all I'll read.

I usually start at the beginning to see how logical the topic plus the first several posts. When it turns from the original and assuming its interesting I then turn to the end. Usually at the end they are either not talking about the same thing and more likely its turned to sniping.
Sometimes, like with Covid which changes fast, you can track the opinions expressed with the things we've learned as time goes by.

I might read the first page, then the last, then move on to something else.

I always start at the beginning. I have my settings changed to 50 posts per page, so there are fewer pages to get back to the OT if I do go down a rabbit hole.
