my wife and I both have direct deposit Social security but have received nothing yet......we filed our income tax return electronically right before april 15th....

Burns my butt too. How will they have any incentive to go back to their jobs? I have a feeling a lot of them will milk it for all it’s worth. I am considered an “essential’ worker”. I risk my health going into homes or calling on customers and those getting the extra 600.00 dollars a week is make FAR more than I get.

I’ve had direct deposit for years for my IRS refunds and had filed my 2019 return in March
I think that’s why I got my money two weeks ago

We got ours last week. My "half" is going towards fixing up my pickup and a fishing trip...:)

If someone gets called back to work at the same pay scale they were receiving before being furloughed and don’t return, their unemployment checks stops. If you don’t return you are considered voluntarily unemployed and not entitled to any benefits. That should be incentive enough.

I will be on SS next year once retired I am completely against ones already on SS getting any stimulus to me it makes absolutely no sense. If I receive the current stimulus I plan to just send it to my son's family. This whole thing is ridiculous and going to bankrupt the country and very few seem to care. Just because I am on SS why shouldn't I get my stimulus check, I will be paying income tax till I die. And yes my SS is taxable. Then my kids will pay income tax on the money they get out of my 401K and other investments. I will be paying this big tax stimulus burden for the rest of my life just like the ones working.

Still no . . . .
Now I'm seeing that I won't get a stimulus until I file 2019 taxes . . . . . I'll be flat broke by July 15 . . . . .

Me but I had filed 2019 return via E File on April 9. Stimulus direct deposited on April 15.
