I think the best way to get better at fishing is to spend time on the lake. I know you are out there often and it is paying off. Nice fish.

Got 2 4's, a 5.6, 6.73, and 7.25 all in the same 10 day span on 3 separate evenings. Generally fishing 2-3 hrs at a slot. More smaller ones but I've never gotten 3 over 5 without a guide in this short of a span. I've learned a lot over the last 4 years with many thanks to the people here.
Congratulations on the catches. You should consider replacing that metal hook on the scale. If you use one of the friction "lip clips" offered for sale separately, it won't require you to punch a hole in the fish's mouth (which can get infected and cause death). The clip won't affect the measured weight as the scale "zeros" with the clip mechanism already hanging on it.
