I went out on Fork Saturday to my normal holes that I chum all year in 20 foot deep water and finally the fish were there. Well the small ones were, so I caught well over 40 undersized channel cata with 7 fish that were long enough to take to the grease. I was very happy to start catching fish again because I have been struggling to catch 4 or 5 in a day. So things are improving. I have learned the as t we then all the bass fishermen arr complaining about not catching fish the catfish action seems to mostly follow the trend. I do have my Stubbys cheese bait and it is The best when the fish are biting or not. One good thing about slow times is you get to clean your freezer out of frozen catfish. So I count a day of catching mostly small fish a success and being retired 6-7 fish make a good dinner for my wife and I.

Fork yesterday, I got 30 in a couple hours which has been about average for the last couple of weeks. Caught them all in baited spots in 26-28 FOW. Most have been small. Today, I am going to try the shallows, looking for weeds or grass holding prey. Always use Stubbys Cheese Bait.
