Went fishing at a farm pond yesterday. Tried a new method that I saw on YouTube.

It's a strange but simple idea of putting a spinner blade on the end of a Senko.

Worked well. Caught one bass on it, about 2 lbs. Later another bass hit the lure and tore the worm in half. Well, I had made a second one and fished with it for a while. When reeling it through some vegetation, BAM!, another bass hit hard, but he just hit the spinner blade ripping it off from the tail of the Senko.

Sadly, I continued fishing with the "unbladed" Senko in the same area. About an hour later, I hooked another bass on the Senko. After landing it, the bass spit out something onto the ground. Low and behold, it was the bottom half of the first Senko.

Fished for a few more hours and ended up with 5 nice size bass. Here is the biggest of the day that weighed about 4 pounds.

How do you put the spinner on the senko? A tiny cotter pin shoved in there?

Usually it comes with a little spring you twist into it. Like this-

Something similar to what is listed above.

Then I used the swivel and spinner from a Beetlespin lure.

Great job!

It may not be convenient for you but Barlow's Tackle in Richardson has the Owner Centering pins & swivels & all size blades in bulk for about 1/5 the cost of buying them pre-assembled. I bought a bunch of components and have used them successfully ever since Keith Poche won that BASS event in Florida with the same rig. He was swimming it slowly thru the grass.

Yeah its actually not bad doing it the bulk way! Good recommendation Ken! I swapped the twist locks just because I could get more of the other.
