My dad purchased a Lowrance HDS7 Gen 2 fish/depth finder a year ago. He now wants to add a trolling motor to the boat that is comparable and utilities the Lowrance GPS, way points, etc.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

The motorguides are compatible as Bubba747 said above. You'll need to get a $300 adapter to make it work. It's worth it once you've forgotten you've paid for it. pick a way point and go to it. pick a path and follow it. Very nice features.
Good luck,
Tim

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

It's the MotorGuideĀ® PinPoint GPS Gateway Kit, which is now "only" $150"....

I didn't know this. Thanks for informing me that I will need to spend another $150 for this feature. I figured it would just plug right into the unit somehow.
