It’s the same. What I was trying to say is you don’t need to throw out an entire bucket of soured grain or range cubes in every spot you want to fish. Give them a good taste but don’t overdo it. My opinion for whatever that’s worth.

When I bait a hole I use something that will last for awhile say mesh laundry bag I fill it with about 10 lbs Cattle cubes or a on sale deer/wildlife block and tie it out and come back and fresh it up so the cats will hear the dinner bell around my bait. After they get to coming into your Bait,then you can just motor up and through out some cattle cubes or sour grain and fish your spot. If the fish are in where you put your bag out in about three or four days your bag will be M/T if so put some more bait in the bag. If not then move your bag to another spot. I like to do this in back water timber so I have a shade to fish in.

I have used the mesh bags with range cubes and chunks of soybean cake in deep holes at Amistad with good results but we might fish 15 or 20 holes in a day of fishing shallow so it is easier to chum 3 or 4 spots and then work back and try them all. We don’t stay in a spot very long if it is not productive. Run and gun I guess you could call it. If no luck we might move to another area and repeat.

Go to the back of the cove straight across the lake from the marina. Throw out some range cubes or soured wheat on the old culverts. Throw out some sureshot bait and haul em in!!!
