State Park ramp is back open.. Well it ain't really a ramp but you can get your boat in the water.. Recommend 4X4 but you can surely do a small boat with 2X4.. Slope is perfect..

Launching at end of ditch..

We whacked em this morning in trees.. Four feet was best but caught em shallower and deeper.. No monsters but best fish was about 7..

Caught a few on rocks and a few on brush piles.. But hardwoods were best..

28 boats at ramp at Noon..

Zapata ramps still not open I hear..

Thanks, James! Looks like I had the wrong plan of action today. I managed three small ones anyway. I’ll be in the trees next time out!

Get in there on the dam as well.. I heard of a LOT of good fish off there yesterday.. It is a popular spot.. For a good reason..

Nice!

I gotta wonder if the boats I saw on the lake were the county commissioners trying to shut the lake down for their use. Once the state park reopened they lost it.

Falcon is fishing really good right now.. You can catch em your way. Unless your way is deep..

Ten to twelve feet is the deepest I have heard of.. But most fish are in six feet or less right now.

Flipping trees, crank baiting rocks, or dragging a C-rig are all working..
Basically the bite is on..

Crappie are good on brush piles, and white bass are crazy on many of the same points and windblown rock you might catch bass on..
Sometimes you have to move to get away from them.

Catfish are also very good..

Of course your results may vary, but everybody we talk to is catching fish, and some folks are smoking them..

Not a bad place to be if you have some time off..
