I finally got the chance to do some fishing here in Amarillo. The weather has been crazy. Warms up, gets cold. Warms up, snow. Wind trying to blow us all into Mexico. Anyways, I finally got out. I went to a local pond and was drowning some worms trying to catch some gills. That didn't work out but I did get these:

OK, they aren't sunfish. Sue me.They are about 2 lbs each. Decent sized eating cats. I chunked them up and marinated them in Frank's Red Hot and then floured and fried them. It was a right tasty supper. On a positive note we are not going back to school so I need to finish the year out teaching online until school ends on May 22. Normally NJROTC instructors work all of June and the first week of July with leadership camps, orientation trips, mandatory navy training etc... All of that is canceled this year so I get the entire summer off. I will head back to Athens as soon as school lets out and I will be embracing the THUMP! I'll probably spend most of July in CO chasing trout.

Cheers from the Panhandle Y'all
