Has anyone been to Clark recently? Just trying to find out if it’s fishing any good. Debating whether to take my kid there or to Fairfield tomorrow. Thanks.

Went today. Caught two pounder after two pounder. Pretty fun.

....that said, FAIRFIELD is a much better lake for size and quantity.

How far north can you go? Is that where the frog fishing is?

We just started fishing the other banl oppsite from the ramp. We had some good blow ups in that stuff but it was to thick to get any of them out. We caught some at the Dam on topwater and in a cove just north of the dam and on the west side

I can't find any information about this lake. The website for the City of Ennis website is not functioning properly. Does this lake have any special rules? I have the typical full size bass boat. Is there a ramp fee? Any motor size restrictions?

Is this lake really 865 acres?

It’s a small lake. Small, but nice ramp. It’s no fee, just clean up after yourselves. No motor size restriction. No skiing, no sport boats, no jet skis. It’s a fishing lake with buttloads of hydrilla and brushy stuff to flip. Normally a ton of mats and lilypads...but not yet.

If ya get crazy there, Ennis PD will be waiting at the ramp for ya. The neighborhood the lake is in already hates the fact it’s open to the public. Just an FYI.

Thank you. Sounds like the "neighborhood" around Lake McQueeney. Home owners sometimes make the mistake of thinking they own lakes and rivers.

Not anytime recent, last time was in September. Very nice looking little lake with lots of grass but didn't do too well last time there.

The people at McQueeney are white trash with money. They will harass you non-stop and even damage your boat. I wish I had known I could call a warden to ticket them back when I went there.

Just trying to catch em all.

Clark is in Ennis and McQueeny is 280 miles south near Seguin.

My daughter and son in law are trying to sell a house just around the corner from the boat ramp at Lake Clark.

Two story, around 4100sq/ft.

That's it, I've had enough. Almost every good lake under 1,500 acres has been posted the last two weeks.
Please make it stop.
