Hey y'all, Do Stripers and Hybrids run up the creeks with white bass in the Spring? I heard that the Stripers swim upstream in like February and the hybrids should be mixed in with the whites. I mostly fish at Colorado bend state park. Would I catch some Striper/Hybrids if I used some bigger lures? I've never tried it. I appreciate all information, thanks!

I've heard the hybrids make a run and the guys that know the pattern really love it, saying they hybrid fight in a river to awesome! I think I've heard they run earlier and farther up river than the whites. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in. Best of luck to ya!

They do run up the creeks. Typically early April is peak. Every year and creek is different when it comes to holding them. Whites will go further up because they are smaller.

My brother and i fished the Brazos on Thursday, April 16. We were up river from Chisholm trail ramp aprrox 12 miles. Bite was light, boated 47 sandies, mostly small males. We did catch 5 or 6 stripers 6-10", so i guess they do go up river. Last spring i hooked a few stripers up about 8 miles from Chisholm that broke my line, but i had light equipment for sandies.
