Now that I’m living a decent drive from Richland Chambers I’ve been heading out there recently, after not fishing for a couple years. Other priorities 🤷‍♂️ Lol. Made a run out there today, water temp was 64 degrees, ran up to the north end to the island north of the 287 bridge, fished the standing timber in 6-25 FOW and nothing! Found a dock back in the main lake and pulled some good 12-14 inch crappie off of it, got a few more dinks around some other docks but never could get on them. Found a couple trees using down imaging that I thought had some on there but never could get them. Question is, with Richland Chambers having so much standing timber and docks, how do you pattern the crappie and where do you target them? Not asking for spots to fish but more how to find them based upon the water temp and time of year and all. I have a hummingbird Solix 10 with MEGA SI and DI and decent idea of what I’m looking at sometimes. Lol. Any expert advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

12 gates open yesterday. I never do well with that much movement.

Appreciate the help guys! Havent tackled the sand bass/Hybrids yet, last few times ive been catfishing up in the tress catching eater size blues and channels. Yesterday was a day when i was by myself and wanted to explore and try to figure out my graph more. Saw a couple boats around Pelican Island resort and just off of White Rock road who looked to be catching some sand bass.

I fished RC Sunday with jigs (bait shops were closed). it was tough and i have livescope. i kept 4 crappie and caught a bunch of 7 and 8 inch crappie on brush piles in 20 FoW. i think they are still in transition and scattered with stained water and the gates opened. i sunk a new brush pile while the fishing was slow.

i'd be happy to swap a few GPS spots with you and try to figure this out together!

if i have another slow day out there, my strategy is to start dock shooting and/or trolling roadrunners along the 287 bridge braces about 12 feet deep.

RC can be a really tuff Lake at times. But I will tell you this when it’s on it’s on as it’s like any lake honestly. There today gone tomorrow. You must put the time in as I’ve had to do and I’m just shooting you straight and let’s be honest who wouldn’t post what you posted and not think someone wont pm you and give you spots. Lol. Please don’t take me wrong as most do on here as I just tell it like I see or read it. Fish are still scattered and I can’t wait for solid warmer steady weather honestly. Gates was open today still and it’s tuff when gates are open. Again put the time in you are on the right track. Happy fishing and good luck.

I’ve been out on Richland chambers 3 times in the past 7 days. That includes today as well. Saturday almost had a limit. Yesterday lots of small fish. Today caught probably 70 fish and left with my limit. And I fish same general area as you mentioned.
