Got out and fished the rollers with my 4 year-old fishing partner this morning. Bait was stacked in 32 feet so that’s where we started. 5 minutes Into our first drift we hung a double, then a triple. We never stopped reeling them in after that and landed close to 80 in the boat. My son was smoked halfway through and slept the second half of the trip. We got close to 20 slot fish, 17, 21, 19, 23, 20, 19, with a 30 lb big fish with multiple double big fish takedowns! We had ten that were 10-14 lbs. We lost close to 40 while reeling in fish and lost a true monster right at the boat that would have been over 40 lbs. Best day of April fishing I’ve ever had on Lewisville easy. When your in the right place at the right time with the right bait, that’s what dreams are made of!!! All fish CPR’d to fight another day.

Great job. Those are some healthy fish. I am headed to Twok tomorrow but we are going to look for hybrids first and if that doesn’t work out then we will switch to cats. Was that 1 throw with the castnet?

That was 1 throw Matt. Here is the graph pic before I dropped my deep net. I went back over the group of gizzards behind the boat and spot locked over em. You can tell by the distorted pic we were in some rough waters.
