Has anyone had luck with this bait? I tried it before winter and recently again this week. No luck.

I have caught lots of channels on it in a lake I used to fish a lot for channels. I chummed in this lake with range cures and soured maize. But when the fish are there I don’t think it matters what stinky bait you use.

I couldn't agree more Blue Blazer. If the fish are there, any smelly bait will catch them. I make my choice more on bait that will stay on the hook, I like danny King

cant catch fish where there arent fish. my experience with sudden impact has been very good. Good fisherman (and im not one) dont need much "luck". They find the fish, then they catch them.

^^^^^^^He’s right you know. I choose Stubby’s for obvious reasons though.

I use sudden impact and have for years. I use it with a pretty good size treble hook and I mainly fish stumps and dead forests in the water. also works well around cattails and grassy areas.it is not just a channel cat bait I catch a lot of blues using it. For swift current I use secret seven... It's really sticky and works good as well...

If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....

I would be tempted to try stubby's but I think they is only a drop down bait. Probably would fly off the hook. Works well places you can tie to a tree.

We throw Stubby’s on a slip cork all the time. If it is real hot outside, keep a small cooler of ice with you to keep it cool. You can’t make banzai casts with a bait caster , but we have real good luck casting it with a spinning reel.

I bought a tub of it a while back and I honestly couldn't get it to work, but to be honest I don't fish for channels that often.

I fish with Stubbys fir two reasons. They bite it when fishing is tough and they bite it when times are good. Now I know that if a bait works in tough times it is a great bait. I cannot tell you Sudden Impact has any problems because when I saw how Stubbys works I just stick with it. I got loads of respect for the team Catfish guys and suspect that if they asked it it might work. They make their living saleing us stuff that catches fish. I do buy my share of their hooks when I fish for blues with live or cut bait.
