Talking about 3-5" single tail grubs on a round head jig. Do you hop it along the bottom or swim
it. What about favorite colors.

Trying to get back into an old school technique.

Are you talking about a Ned rig or something else?

A grub on a ball head-like a Yamamoto grub or a Kalins.

Yes my favorite color is milktruese - a white/chartreuse pearlesent color. Was always a producer on Texoma and you never know what species you would get.

Always a staple in my boat. A grub will catch fish 24/7.

Nice finesse bait for a slow relatively clear water bite.

I do for sandbass. When they are schooling it’s much easier to mess with one hook vs 6

Kalins around pads when the bass are slapping at a frog. Just work it fast through the pads till you get a reaction then let it drop.

I like the Lunker City, Charlie Brewer, Mister Twister, and Kalin's grubs on a weighted swim bait hook in the grass and on edges of grass.

I use them as chatterbait trailers but haven't thrown one on its own in a while. Guess I could just use the weighted screwlock swimbait hook I already have tied on for it!

I still use a single tail plastic grub. I use it on a jig head, I use it as a trailer, and I have even used it on a drop shot. It is still an effective lure.

Yes, it's very effective at Travis and watermelon red. Sometimes they like it hopped and sometimes swimming.
