Has anybody fished it recently? What's the report?

Lots of algae. I fished it two weekends ago. Caught 10 males. All in 1 cove. Fish are not everywhere. Big girls were still off first break to best of my knowledge but too much algae to slow down and fish it properly where I was at. I'm sure the 90's last week pushed a big wave up but it is supposed to be near freezing tonight so... The lake is beautiful right now but it isn't easy to fish in my opinion.

Bust through the thick salt cedars and get on the bank. There are good ones up shallow.

Thanks for the info. What's boating like on Ivie? Are there areas to avoid or is it pretty much all open until you get up shallow?

If you don’t see it it not there, been tough the last week or so and getting worse on the slime. Front will have them all jacked up even worse now,

I’m looking to head down to Ivie next week for the first time hope fishing goes well.

Fishing has been great, I have been staying at the RV park for over a month. A new wave hit in the rivers last weekend, most trips out produce at least a 4 have had fish up to 8, lost bigger fighting through the brush. Tons of boats here lately though. But you can get around as much as you want to fight the wind.
