Does anyone know if the Shell station that sells the Lake Worth permit sells minows? I don't normally fish for crappie, but my freezer is empty of crappie and need to restock. If they don't, is there someplace close to Worth that does sell minnows. My late father-in-law kept us supplied in crappie. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. Was wanting to fish for crappie at Marine Creek. Caught several when bass fishing there on occasion.

FYI. Minnows at Olsen's sell minnows for $3.50 per dozen. They don't sell them by the pound for now.

Is it safe to eat fish out of lake Worth? Thought is was full of heavy metals from WWII production plants.

Preserving Texas fishing heritage one lure at a time.

Per the TPWD website, there is only a full consumption ban on smallmouth buffalo, limit consumption of other fish, no mention of crappie. No mention of Marine Creek.

But I still wouldn't eat out of either.
