Have any tips for growing it? I got myself some seeds and watched a few YouTube videos..I want to give it a try in a small bed.
What y'all think?
Pulled a gun on his dryer and they caught a bunch of fish.

Should be pretty easy to grow Full sun Plants need to be pollinated to yield kernels. You see bees regularly in your garden?

Sweet!! (Corn)
I've got a very sunny spot plotted out..I do see bees. I wouldn't say a ton of them but I definitely see bees.
once the ground dries out just a bit I'm going to get to planting
Pulled a gun on his dryer and they caught a bunch of fish.

I Planted 7 rows 75' long Friday before the rains, old timers say it's best to plant in square patterns

Corn depends heavily on wind for pollination .
crapyetr's layout is excellent . Short and close rows unless you plan on planting a really large area .
Consider planting climbing beans among the corn . They help the nitrogen levels in the soil (corn likes to eat) .

Planting in several shorter rows instead of 1 or 2 long rows will help with polination.

Bees aren’t needed for pollination. Wind and gravity take the pollen from the tassel to the silk on the ear. There is one silk for each kernel of corn.
So yes, square is the best shape for a stand of corn. If a row of corn has only a perpendicular wind you won’t get squat out of it.

That looks awesome. About how many ears of corn do you get from each stalk? i usually get 1 - 2 ears per stalk in my small bed...treating each ear with mineral oil to prevent worms makes for a fuller ear... like they said above, watch for coons...if you see evidence, pull every ear you can find cuz the family will be back the next night
