There are a ton of videos out there with great info and even though some people might not consider it necessarily a frog bait you should check out the Strike King Poppin Perch and look up Todd Castledine videos of him slaying the fish on that topwater .

I did not like the popping perch so much.. Fills with water after two throws.. I like the popping frog better... The action of the popping frog was better for me..

Anyone throwing the Megabass Big Gabot Frog? I don't mind the cost as much as the bait being durable. I like the looks of that Stanley Top Toad too.

Been throwing it about 3 years now since it was an early prototype. I am a big fan. I am probably biased but can share that I know at several dealers here I have reordered them a few times for them since being released and TW has had to reorder a couple of times now. They seem to be popular. I have given a few away to friends. They ordered more on their own after using them.

Wandering about those myself, I hear, for what that;s worth the new 6th sense frog coming out is the bomb, BUT like with all you guys who have agreements with manufacturers , there's a bias.

Hard to beat the SPRO frogs. Specifically their popping frogs!

As for color, brown is my favorite, just a confidence thing. Brown, white, yellow, all good colors to have and they all get bit. If you're going to have one frog rod make sure it's a heavy power so that all your bases are covered in the event you're in thick grass or something. Have fun!

+2 and, like some have said, make sure you have it tied to at least 50# braid. 40 is not big enough. Don't ask me how I know that.

The best frog ever made (TruTungsten Mad Maxx) unfortunately isn't available any more and I think just about everything else available today is average at best. Some walk good but fill with water on every cast. Some don't fill with water as bad but don't walk well. Some have horrible hook up rates but can be modified a bit to improve it but those modifications can also have their issues. My point is their isn't a truly great one out there today in my novice opinion.

I would rank the currently best available like this:

1. Strike King Sexy frog
2. RI Swamp Donkey
3. Spro Bronzeye
