He is going to announce a plan to open up for business. I'm betting it won't start for at least two weeks and then take three or four weeks to implement. I think that makes sense, gets us close to June with some much needed warmer weather which should help, also gives everyone as close to a solid date as possible and some light at the end if the tunnel.

The sooner the better, I don’t blame Abbott for closing anything, the commie states showed their hand pretty early and he had to follow suit eventually or get labeled as a scum bag...... Abbott is still the man!!

Abbott is the best governor we’ve had in many years. Agree. I like him. I will be glad when all the working stiffs get back to work though. I worked for 45 years to retire so my wife and I could enjoy the weekday solitude and now there are people all over the place. Get back to work so us retirees can enjoy life again.

My cousin died yesterday from it. He was 85. He died alone because his wife wasn't allowed in. This crud sucks. My condolences sir Thank you. He was a good man.

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

He's trying to set up a plan - exactly what most of us who understood the shutdown have been saying all along. This is temporary to flatten the curve. Now we're opening back up. Good for us for saving lives, and good on Abbott for trying to open back up in an organized, intelligent fashion.
I do think he'll wait another 1-2 weeks for Texas to be past it's peak before he really opens much of anything. JMHO
