I just bought Goodyear Endurance at Discount based on their recommendation. That or Maxxis. The guy I worked with personally had two Chinese made tires blow on his utility trailer. Endurance made here and they had the load range I needed, the Maxxis did not.

The Goodyear Endurance is the best thing going for trailer tires (or should I say trailor tires since I'm on the TFF?). They are US manufactured, and so for the feedback on them is showing they don't crack, dry-rot, and fly apart like all of the ChiComm imports. The Carrlisles got so bad about it that a local retailer I have dealt with dropped them, and told me they won't sell them because of way too many problems.

I have been buying the Carlisle Radials and have worn them out with zero, no, nada. problems. I have been on planet Earth, not Mars like everyone from magnolia, Texas.

Plenty have complained of the Carlisle self destruction. They usually come apart in hard chunks. None have complained about the Endurance. The horse trailer crowd agrees from what I've seen on their forums. Carlisle: Chinese. Endurance: American. On that note alone, which would be a good choice to buy given what we've been learning about our "wonderful" trade partners in China? I'm betting the cost difference isn't much compared to replacing a trashed fender on the more likely chance of china-[censored] self-destructing. I've had two blow to shreds, both at less than 2 years of age - with tire pressure maintained using a 2% calibrated pressure gauge.

I have never had any problems with Carlisle tires except wearing them out every three years. I pull all over the southern US on all kinds of highways. Never a tire problem. But I don't over load them either.

Just replaced a set of Carlisle Radial HD's that had about 20k miles on them. Still plenty of tread left but date stamp was 6 years old. Had zero issues so went with the same ones again. Discount Tire priced matched Walmart at $61 each.

Goodyear Endurance by far has best load and speed rating. Carlisle Radials are only rated max speed 65mph. I have replaced three sets of Calisle tires all due to blow outs two of which happend on the same roadway within 100 yards of each other at 3 year interval once on the right side next one on the left. After changing the tire out went straight to Discount Tire and put a set of G.Y. Endurance. Sick and tired of the Carlisle's tearing my trailer fenders, wiring and lights when they do go.

I run Carlisle on my travel trailer and have no issues what so ever. Trailer heavy loaded is around 7K and pulled with a half ton and didn't care about going much over 65 mph. I put close to 20k miles with no issues yet.
