I just saw a wired2fish video showing some new braided line short shank treble hooks. Premise behind it is it gives the fish less leverage to throw a lure as it can twist with the fish. It was featured on a big glide bait but I bet they could be pretty effective on crankbaits. My brother still probably has nightmares of a Falcon giant coming up at shaking his crankbait off at him. In theory they look effective. I will definitely be trying some out. I always like to see some innovations in my favorite hobbies.

When I build my Custom Spooks, they have no split rings. Never lost a Big Bass on one. The hooks rock and track across the spook wearing a grove. The older and deeper the grove the better it gets.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

I built several and put them on a couple of jerkbaits back in Feb. I truly believe they helped.. I now have about a dozen baits including a couple of lipless baits that are notorious for being thrown.. Only thing.. I've not been able to try them. bang

I've really want to try them. Looks like a saltwater thing that has crossed over to freshwater.

Been around a while on the big bait scene since they are notorious for getting thrown.
