If anyone on here was planning on fishing Twin Buttes, Nasworthy, or OC Fisher this weekend change your plans. Our City Officials just announced they will be closed from 5pm tomorrow through 8am Monday. Guess I'm headed to Ivie.

If the lake superintendent has his way Ivie will close, had an interesting conversation with him yesterday afternoon about it.

I'm off work Friday and Monday and was planning on going there one of the two days. Time will tell I guess.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I hate(loathe) big government. Want my guns, don’t want a law to tell me to wear a helmet or life jacket, an HOA tell me what plants I can put in my yard..... I do not agree with closing parks, ramps(lakes)....but do I not buy into any conspiracy theories. No agendas here. Just appointed leaders trying to do the best they know with this uncharted territory and protecting the masses. Do I agree with everything being decided? NO. Do I think this is about taking away my civil liberties? Come on! Please copy & paste this response on all the other threads you are claiming this on.

I doubt it closes, he made mention of all the out of state folks at the ramps and traffic at the ramp. He’s a lock it down kinda person and that’s being nice. He went into the “everyone is going to die from this and guys like you are fishing instead of locking yourself in the house”. I said “ I’m headed to Fork” and you better go get back in your closet and hide”. He wants it closed but as of now CRMWD isn’t going to close the lake.

City just issued an update about an hour ago. Twin Buttes is exempted and will remain open. Someone must have shook them up and made them realize they overstepped their bounds since its outside city limits.

Was nothing but polite. The conspiracy theory is MY title for your belief that closing things right now is meant to remove your civil liberties. I DO NOT agree with closing outdoor venues. We just lost a reservation because of all the state park closings. Didn’t agree with this either. But I’m smarter than believing it’s to remove my civil liberties. Don’t need my beliefs shared by a tackle store owner for my validation either.
