What kind of rod is needed for those weighted bobber fluke rig I've seen some guys throwing a mile. Thanks

It is not the rod. It is the reel. You can do well with a large diameter spool reel and any 7 foot rod. If you load it with braid, it will cast it a long way.

Rod is where itโ€™s at and correct size braid if you are talking about being able to make the 80 to 100 yd cast. I use a 9ft rod 4000 size reel and 20 lb braid you can get away with 15 lb depending on what you are throwing
