Hello and hope everyone is doing OK. Got a question? My boat needs a good polishing. The top still shines but the bottem is very dull looking, The items for a boat are expensive. The items like Turtle and Muguires is low priced but doesn't say it's for fiberglass. Do you all have any sugestions.

Here’s my recipe. Others might have something that works for them.
Start with 3M heavy duty compound. Keep it wet and cool. Then 3M finesse polish Then Protec sealer. That keeps it new.

what pat said. go get a random orbit 6" polisher (paid 20.00 for mine at wal mart) and some extra microfiber covers. spray bottle for water to keep it wet. put 2-3 applications of pro tec on the first time then twice a yr. after. this is the one I use.

Thanks for both replys. Never poliched a fiberglass boat. Was wondering why Boat polish and Car polish would be different. One is more money than the other. But anything for a Boat is higher.

Really Really like what Meguires Marine/RV One Step Compound has done. Worked really well on my full flake boat.

I ordered some going to try it/ 1986 RayCraft. Top is still shiny but below the Metal Flake it's dull. Probably hasn't been polished since new. Purchased it used. So I'm going to try to make my friends think I got it new.LOL People on here are a great help.

Be sure and do a small test patch. You want to have a clue what’s it going to look like first.

Use the weight compound appropriate for the amount of oxidation
Followup with 3M wax. Make sure you wax it every couple months.

I'll do that and thanks. Now I need the weather to straighten up. Friend of mine said the fishing in Lake Livingston has gone sour. Went twice and had no luck.
