My 199 Alpha tops out at around 67-68 mph and 5800 or so rpms with a 25 pitch Fury fully loaded with live wells and gas. I do have 4 batteries and 2 8 foot power poles. Hole shot is like a rocket, which is a little surprising considering the amount of weight added, but I'm pretty sure that 225 Merc Proxs (dang, did I just sound like Roland/Scott Martin?) has more speed in it. Don't want it to wallow out of the hole. Should I go to a 24 or just rework my 25? Thanks!

Steve's custom props up at fork. A worked prop might get you to 70-72 but I bet that's about it loaded down

Send it to Ronni Gilbert over in Louisiana. One of the top prop guys in the country. As Jarrett mentioned Steve is good also. I had a Bravo XS tuned by Steve and it was awesome for the couple hours I ran it before hitting a stump bang

Nettle Props right here in Austin. My brother and I have been customers for years. Down to earth people and great quality work.

Nettles in Austin.

They can also repair broken skegs and straighten bent prop shafts. Ask me how I know....

Thanks boys! I'll give Nettles a call today. I've heard great things about Steve's but would rather have a local so I can maybe try a different prop or two out to see how they run.

I don't think Nettles does performance modification, just repair. Unless they misunderstood my question when I asked.
