Got out and drifted with my 4 yr old fishin pardner. Bait was easy in 26 ft. We started out drifting the main lake humps in 35 ft and caught 6 dinks first drift. Moved over to the old lake and drifted 6 more dinks. Moved back out to main lake and drifted the humps again and caught 7 more dinks and a 17 lbr. Moved 100 yards over and pulled 1 more drift and got 12 eaters and ended our drift with a quadruple takedown and a 14 lbr. Thanks fellas! Most of our fish were dinks today. Last trip Jax wanted to reel in every fish but today he didn’t reel in a single one. He played with his dog, in the livewell, or in the bait tank most of the day. I hope to go Saturday. The Tenn River has finally dropped enough. Now if the city of Huntsville will keep my boat ramp open. TVA has now closed off all public access to the dam spillways. Got a new to me boat and now I can't even use it. It does look pretty parked in my backyard!
He is truly a sick individual.

We got out again yesterday and went shallow early. We anchored up by Pecan Creek and caught 3 dinks. Moved up to a point by the Trinity and anchored on a big group but only managed 5. Got tired of pulling anchors so we went looking for some fish on mid depth structure. Took a while but finally found a big group of sandies on a ridge in 32 ft. We drifted through em 2 times and caught 17 more dinks. Jaxon wanted to keep the 2 smallest fish so we now have 2 new pet catfish for the koi pond. Jaxon named the fish Tarzan and Robot Super Fan. Little Elm is the only boat ramp open that I know of. Lake is dropping fast so hopefully others will open soon but more rain on the way. There are lots of fish shallow. My buddy went shallow this morning up by the trinity and said they were biting good up there.
