Any of yall that have worked cattle before know there is always one crazy ol' cow that will spook the herd from going in the pen. It was like that fishing today. I found a dock holding some fish and the bite was pretty good. I hooked a nice slab and got him to the boat when he came unbuttoned and made a bee line straight back to the dock. That was the end of the bite....I mean lockjaw set it....time to move along....nothing to see here anymore.... BUT, always have a back up plan. I took a little break while I changed rigs from a 1/16 to a 1/32....KABOOM...it's game time again! Sorry, no pics today. Ran into a couple TFF'ers out there today...they had the fish dialed in with their livescope....

It was good seeing you out there bush hog!! We managed a good mess Friday but it was a grind all day. Today in spite of the rain was much better. Fished half as long and caught some really good quality fish. most of the good fish we caught were in 12-14 ft of water.

I wound up catching 17 but threw 3 of them back that had the fungus pretty bad. Found mine under docks.

If you don't want to eat it, bury it in your garden or one of your wife's flower beds.

Didn't know it was contagious to other fish. Everything I read said it was brought on by stress during the spawn.

It’s worse this year than I’ve ever seen it. I bet we threw back 20-25 fish in 2 days that were completely covered in the pink fungus stuff. Usually I’ll catch 2-3 per trip but it seems to have gotten out of hand. The contagious part makes sense since it only seems to be on the black crappie that are ganged up together. All of the solitary white crappie I’ve caught are completely free of the stuff.
