Holbrook has been packed, last couple of trips out I was parking down the road because the ramp was overflowing. I typically use the south end ramp but the mid lake ramp was the same way, Quitman was less crowded about a week and a half ago when my son went out there.

I think people have already figured this out and spilling over into the smaller lakes thinking they might be less crowded, I was at a smaller one this weekend and it was stupid crowded and the weather wasn't even good.

Good luck. Cypress had probably 35+ boats on it yesterday. Granted there was a club tourney going on but still. Guessing it will still be crowded pretty much everywhere but I don't mind. Lots of people holed up right now somewhere and looking for something to blow off some steam. I know I've fished more in the past 3-4 weeks that I have in a long time. Finish up working then daylight gives me a good 2-3 hours of quick fishing time.

Yes, I fish smaller, mostly off the radar lakes almost exclusively
Up until three weeks ago, I’d usually have the lake(s) to myself

They are busier than ever overhearing people in the parking lot that they are “dropping pins” and sharing their location

Quitman, Winnsboro and Holbrook are packed and have been for the last 3 weeks. A buddy went to Gilmer yesterday and said the parking lot was overflowing and people were parking on the highway shoulder.
There is no "getting away" from it, just take a number and get in line.

So just stay on Hubbard and enjoy the mayhem at the ramp and the fishing suck?

Smaller lakes have been getting hammered lately, I'm glad to see people out with their family though! With that said, I usually go to those smaller lakes to avoid crowds, but since everywhere is crowded I think I'll stick to Fork and some bigger lakes until this blows over.

Maybe use the time to try to unlock the lake so that it doesn't suck?

What ramp you been using? I've been wanting to get out there myself, but had a bad experience last week at the Lewisville Little Elm ramp. You using Highway 66 or Chandlers?

Thanks man, been awhile!

Just crazy amounts of people acting like it's a holiday. Hanging on the beach with coolers drunk and pleasure boats of the same. It just made me uncomfortable trying to enjoy some peace and quiet on the lake. I will try 66 on Wednesday (if we dont' get the thunderstorms)

Thanks!
